Sourcing & quality
Calm comes from checking
Most problems in sourcing from Asia are not bad luck – they are questions nobody asked in time. Our process asks them early and writes the answers down.
Seven stages
From brief to bill of lading
-
01
Brief
You describe the product, target price, quantity, market and timing. We translate this into a specification a factory can quote on.
Result Written specification
-
02
Supplier selection
We shortlist manufacturers and verify business licences, export experience and capacity – with a factory visit or audit where the order justifies it.
Result Shortlist with quotations
-
03
Samples
Pre-production samples are checked against the specification. The approved piece becomes the golden sample – the reference for everything that follows.
Result Approved golden sample
-
04
Order
Price, specification, packaging, inspection criteria and delivery date are confirmed in a written purchase order.
Result Purchase order
-
05
Production follow-up
We stay in contact with the factory, check materials and, for larger orders, inspect during production.
Result Status updates
-
06
Pre-shipment inspection
Before shipment, a random sample is inspected for appearance, function, labelling and packaging.
Result Inspection report with photos
-
07
Loading & documents
We supervise container loading and prepare the export documents together with the forwarder.
Result Loading photos, shipping documents
Inspection
What AQL means
AQL – acceptance quality limit – is the method most product inspections use (ISO 2859-1). Instead of checking every piece, a statistically defined sample is drawn from the finished lot and inspected.
Before production we agree with you which defects count as critical, major or minor, and how many are acceptable. If the sample exceeds these limits, the goods do not ship until the factory has reworked them.
- Visual
- Finish, colour, scratches, assembly
- Function
- Power-on, charging, operation; a test ride where applicable
- Dimensions
- Size and weight against the specification
- Labelling
- CE marking, barcodes, warnings, languages
- Packaging
- Carton strength, drop test, markings
Packaging & labelling
Ready for your shelf
Packaging is part of the product. We check it with the same care, because it decides how goods arrive and how they sell.
- Retail packaging approved on a printed sample
- Barcodes (EAN/GTIN) and carton markings
- Multi-language manuals and safety information
- Export cartons and pallets sized for the container
Independent inspection
A second pair of eyes
On request, inspections can be carried out by an independent inspection company of your choice – a common choice for first orders and high-value goods.
The costs are agreed in advance and the report is sent to you directly.
