Privacy policy

1. Visiting the website

When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system. This is required for secure and stable operation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Log files are deleted after a short period according to the hosting provider's rules.

2. Enquiries via form or e-mail

If you contact us, we collect the data you provide – name, company, e-mail address, country, details of your enquiry, your message and an uploaded file – for the sole purpose of answering your enquiry and preparing or carrying out a business transaction (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Your data is processed in Hong Kong. For visitors in the European Union this is a transfer to a third country, which takes place because it is necessary for pre-contractual measures taken at your request (GDPR Art. 49(1)(b)). We keep the data as long as necessary for the enquiry and any resulting business, and in line with statutory record-keeping obligations.

Messages are delivered to our mailbox via an e-mail service provider. We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

3. Spam protection

To protect the form against automated submissions, your browser solves a small computing task, and we check technical characteristics of the request (e.g. time on page, number of keyboard and mouse events, browser identifier). The IP address is processed only as an encrypted check value or in shortened form, and these data are deleted after two hours at the latest. Rejected attempts are logged with time, IP address and browser identifier; the log is limited in size and older entries are overwritten automatically.

5. Cookies

We only use technically necessary cookies:

• "lang" – stores the selected language (1 year).
• "eth_cid" – random identifier for the form's spam protection (2 hours).

6. No tracking

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools and no social media plug-ins. Fonts are loaded from our own server.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPO you may request access to and correction of your personal data. Visitors in the EU additionally have the rights of erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under the GDPR. Please write to the e-mail address above.

You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (www.pcpd.org.hk) or, in the EU, with the data protection authority of your country.
